Nappy leakage every day, problem with brand or size?

My dd has been in the Aldi own brand nappies since she was born, however lately almost every time she does a poo it leaks out. She generally does one maybe two a day so they're quite substantial, she's exclusively breastfed. She's 10 weeks old and 6kg so in size 3 nappies.
Has anyone had a similar experience with the aldi nappies or got any brand suggestions that can contain a good volume?

I should add I change her as soon as it happens so it's not like she is moving around forcing it out, generally she only poos in certain positions and at home and so far (touch wood) it's not happened when we've been out and about as that could be quite disastrous 🤮

Babies change shape and suit different brands at different points - which is annoying. Mine both went through a phase where they needed the elasticated back that Sainsbury's have (had, been 2 years since DC2 was in a size 3).

I'm assuming you're getting up the back type explosions, which are very difficult to avoid.

Escape out of leg holes is a different issue

As pp we went through afew different types of nappies.
What positions is she in when she poo’s?

I would try a different nappy as different brands fit better at different stages. I've mixed between Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco. Asda were a good fit when my daughter was a newborn.
Also maybe check how her vests are fitting as this can cause nappies to leak.

I know a few people who have said aldi nappies are great apart from size 3. Maybe try a few different brands then try again even in size 4.

I would also second check vest size. We always grow out of vests before the rest of that size clothing.

YY to different brands at different ages and it really is trial and error unfortunately.

I have heard that too-small vests can force the poo out. Bit dubious about this one but worth a look if it's a recent change.

DS2 has chunky thighs and a big bum and I find that we have to go up a size before he actually reaches the kg marker for it, usually. Nappies in a bigger size won't get wasted anyway, so always worth trying a pack, you can always put them away for later.

It's not your baby its the nappies.
No idea why, but size 3 are awful.
All other sizes were fine.
I would get the next size up.

Aldi size 3 nappies were awful for us too! We switched to pampers and no more leaks.

Echoing the dislike for Aldi size 3 - absolutely bloody useless. I've found both Sainsbury's and Tesco to be better in both size 3 and 4.

Thanks everyone, how weird that size 3 aldi are not good compared to the other sizes!
@Moonshine11 her poo position is sitting with her back against my thighs and her knees pushed up, so she's upright.
Her vests are not tight so think it's just the nappy, will try another brand 😀 thanks everyone
@randomsabreuse it's up the back and out the legs, thigh and the hip haha!
