Hi im currently 7 weeks postpartum I haven’t had my 8 week check up as of yet , I had forceps delivery with Episiotomy I decided to have sex for the first time since birth as I felt ready it didn’t hurt or anything but now I’m just bleeding slightly (red) Does anyone know if this is normal or not?

Blimey, I had the same delivery as you 7 weeks ago and no one is getting near me yet! Had you checked that you're healed? I'm sure you're fine but personally would see a GP.

I had exact same delivery as you one year ago and still won’t let my partner go near me... 😂🤣

Would check with a GP though.

I had that kind of delivery with DS1 (14 months). At the 8 week checkup ( which was really a phone call in my case), the Doctor asked about going back on the pill. I just laughed and said "-after an episiotomy and forceps he's not coming anywhere near me". The doctor then also laughed and didn't mention it again.
Saying that, when I did get back to testing my fertility cycles, one year later, I didn't account for a shortening of my cycles by 4 days. Now I'm pregnant with No2!

If you don't feel like having sex yet (no matter if your 6 weeks or 6 months postpartum), you aren't strange! It's more common than you'd think.

Take your time in getting ready and use these tips to boost your sex drive after baby.
