Things to do with 5 month old in the house

Myself ,husband and 5month old are all currently quarantined in the house as we have tested positive for Covid. We are all feeling relatively well but we are stuck in until March 11th and I’m already going insane 😂. Anyone have any sensory ideas or games to keep her amused or anything you recommend buying that could keep her entertained? I feel so bad keeping her cooped up for so long but completely understand we have to!

Do you have a foil blanket, like the ones runners have after races. My 4mnth old loves his and will play for ages with it. Ordered cheaply of ebay. How about a big bubbly bath. I have seen somewhere like pinterest where someone sealed glitter and water into office plastic wallets and made a mat for tummy time.??

I wouldn't worry about her feeling couped up, she probably loves the attention.

There are a few things that you can do to stop you going completely mad entertain her though.

edible paints are great for a bit of finger painting in the high chair.

Bubble mixture, babies usually live them.

Scarves like these ones are good for playing peek-a-boo or just putting in an empty tissue box and letting her pull them back out.

And if all else fails run sone warm water in the kitchen sink or bath and let her play with some toys in there Smile

Have you seen that “gelli baff” stuff? Pop the powder in water and it turns to squishy jelly! I’ve seen loads of mums pop some on a tray or in a bowl and put toy animals on top. (Sea creatures on the blue and farm animals on the green for example.)

It does say for 3+ but I would say it’s absolutely fine under supervision. My 2 year old has full “baths” in it! 😂

Lots of pictures have been taken! So much so she doesn’t even smile for the camera anymore she hates it 😂.

We tried the foil blanket today and she was petrified from it 😂. I think it was the noise, she just didn’t like it at all but we will keep trying! Finger paints tomorrow!

Yeah Iv seen that :) I have bought real jelly and going to let her play about with that, that will be Saturdays fun for all of 10 minutes. 1 week to go! Haha x
