10 mo night feeds

My 10 mo still has 2 feeds at night. Sometimes they are full feeds if I can't get him to have enough milk in the day along side his meals, sometimes they are obviously comfort feeds or habit as he'll have a couple of oz and go back to sleep. I'm 5 months pregnant so I need help reducing these night feeds if possible!! He is still rocked to sleep atm as after the 9 month sleep regression he reattached to that method of falling asleep.
Thank you in advance to absolutely anyone that would like to offer some advice

Oh also we just introduced porridge before bed to try fill him up which sometimes has an effect and sometimes doesn't

You need to stop the rocking to sleep.

Dream feed at 11ish.

It’s just time I’m afraid. He is still very little and if he is having full feeds over night he needs them. Some people find that when you start introducing snack and maybe supper after 12 months then they need less milk but up to 12 months milk should still be their main source of nutrition.

@Thatwentbadly thank you I thought as much. That's absolutely fine tbf, people always seem to have tips and tricks but if time is all it takes then so be it :)

@User1511 why should I stop the rocking out of interest? I don't mind it, it takes 5/10 mins and he's not fully asleep when he goes down, I put him down just as he's closed his eyes then he gets comfy in his cot and usually drifts off
He usually feeds at 11 anyway :)

My 11 month is still asking for 1 feed a night. Im giving him very watered down formula, and ill transition to just water soon I think. Though tbh I think its just time that'll solve the issue.

Agree that it's just time. Once he's 12 months, you can start night weaning if that's what you want to do Smile

Because it’s a sleep association. Just like feeding to sleep, dummy, songs, whatever. Maybe it won’t ever affect him, but I remember when mine associated feeding with sleep - I eventually ended up 12 times a night feeding just to get them back to sleep, only tk have them up again half an hour later. It was torture.
