Hi fellow mumsnetters,

Needed to get how I feel off my chest, if I get any kind words and advice along the way I will be grateful.

I have a just turned 4yo ds1 hes wonderful smart boy who listens well, he does have speech delay though which makes him particularly more whiny and emotional than most pre schoolers if he is misunderstood (often by others as I understand him). And ds2 who is 18mo and copies everything ds1 does which is adorable until its the whinging hes copying!

Anyways we have moved abroad 6 months ago and we have done our best to adjust. Ds1 is a very bad sleeper and I feel I've failed him as I've not been able to get him into a routine. He's also lost his appetite lately and clings to me whinging saying his tummy hurts but refuses every morsel of food offered to him.

That combined with lack of sleep as even when they are asleep im on edge with each toss and turn I feel im never deep asleep. Oh and ive taken ds1 to doctors and just been told hes of healthy weight not to worry he is probably just constipated which he is usually.

Feel pathetic really as there's nothing major going on other than usual mum stuff we are supposed to suck up and deal with. But I'm extra irritable, miserable and quite frankly nearly depressed. sad

Do you have a treatment plan for the constipation?

Things that might usually seem small might get to you more given the current pandemic. Be kind to yourself. Your pre-schooler may just be going through a clingy phase. Never too late to introduce a good bedtime routine if that would help you all? If he has tummy ache, ensure you check him for worms (I worked with a child who had an awful case of this that went undiagnosed for ages and once it was treated, he was like a different child!)
