It was an accident, it happens my love, don’t go beating yourself up you’ve put some sudocream on it, you’ll be surprised how quickly it will heal!
They’re little wrigglers at that age maybe if you are still concerned about what’s happened just ensure your nails are shortish n filed with no rough edges?

Aw don't worry!! It was an accident. I accidentally cut my baby's finger the other day when cutting her nails (with baby nail scissors!) and felt awful. However, she didn't even flinch so I don't think she even noticed. These things will happen 😊

Give yourself a break, these things happen. I also cut my ds finger when cutting his nails as a baby, it bled everywhere, he wasn't bothered one bit!
In a lighthearted way, it gets worse than that! My ds got his head stuck in a fense at nursery which is next to a farm. Had to call the farmer to cut the fence to get him out. Also, the other day he was climbing on a box and the moment I said "get down you'll hurt yourself" he fell and cracked his head open. He's fine now. These things happen

When my now 29 year old was a nosey baby she fell off the changing table when I bent down to pick up the nappy I had dropped.
I was pretty worried but she didn't even bruise.

I have 4. I still feel sick when things like this happen, and they do still happen because they are normal, small accidents. It's a horrible feeling but try to relax. They won't remember and there's no lasting damage. Babies heal surprisingly quickly.

We've all done that or similar. Don't beat yourself up.

I gave my newborn an awful welt with my engagement ring. This stuff happens, no doubt you were 'punished' enough with the crying.
When they are older, they'll love hearing these silly stories, mine love hearing about all the ways I managed to ding them, or drop big tubs of sudocream on them etc

I literally did exactly the same thing. I felt so bad but the weird thing was it healed insanely fast....i actually looked for it and couldnt believe it could have healed...maybe its a baby thing. So dont worry it will heal quickly x

Unless you’ve got those ridiculous claw-like acrylic talons, don’t sweat it! These things happen and are part of life.

He will be fine, please don’t worry. And forgive yourself! I caught a hangnail of my baby’s when he was a few days old and tore it to the quick. Felt absolutely terrible - but they heal incredibly quickly at that age.

Wait until you get the nail clippers out for the first time Wink.. my husband clipped the top of DD’s thumb skin and it bled for so long. He felt awful! Like everyone says, it happens don’t worry. Your baby will be absolutely fine xxx

I spent first few weeks with my nails cut as short as possible because I was so worried about this! He's nearly 2 now and scratches himself multiple times so I'm not too worried!

I've had loads of mishaps. Nail clippers on fingers, hitting head off door frames or on the car seat, dropping my phone on her while feeding, once I accidentally dropped DD off my lap because there was a spider on her and I'm terrified of them.

Same here. I tripped up the stairs when my son Was 6 weeks and my instinct was to throw him out of my falling path. He was absolutely fine (I semi caught him so cushioned his fall) but I felt awful for ages. I’ve also scratched him a few times
And knocked him over too.
You just get used to it 😂

My FIL was changing DH as a baby using the old style safety pins and pierced right through his willy Envy

I was changing my niece's nappy years ago and accidentally used Flash lemon wipes to clean her instead of baby wipes! I was so embarrassed! My sister was rather scathing! GrinGrin

My dd had her head knocked against the door frame, fell off the bed and had a carpet burn on her forehead and stuck her hand under the grill !!
She’s now 22 and has forgiven me - I still feel awful when I think about the grill incident though.

DH was very proud of his newborn nail cutting skills (they grow fast, and sharp) until the day he accidentally cut TWO of her fingers (very mildly) in the same nail cutting session. DH almost cried. DD was fine, Sudocreme cures all ills.
