(8 Posts)we are having a massive family debate.
My eldest sisters (20) calls my parents mummy and daddy. Personally I don't see this as right I feel that once you are in high school you should refer to parents as only mum/dad.
However in the family every one else argues that its perfectly normal for my sister to say mummy and daddy whats your thoughts?
If the people who the name applies to are ok with it it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Weird thing to care about to be honest
I just doesnt seem right to be that an adult should call them mummy and daddy!
Does it matter?!
I know people who call their parents by their actual names.
My kids call me mummy when they're being all nice. But its mum when I'm being summonsed for something unpleasant.
I understand the mummy and daddy when your after something but mummy and daddy constantly just makes me cringe... i have been told by my mum that my sisters does it out of respect implying I have non 😂😂

It's not like it's hurting anyone
She is 20. It’s her decision to make. It sounds odd to me but I would be more worried about at 20 year old who couldn’t make this decision herself.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it but equally I’m not sure I know any adults who do
