Start using Mumsnet Premium5 month old refusing bottle. Is this teething?
(2 Posts)Slightly worried FTM here. My 5 month old is refusing his bottle last 2 days and going over 6 hours without eating. I keep trying but he cries and pushes me away.
He isn’t under weight and I assume he’ll eat when he is ready? He drank his bottles well at night time. I think he’s teething and assume it just hurts?
Any tips or advice? Should I worry he’s getting dehydrated?
Thanks
Teething rings, especially if you put them in the freezer help. Ashton teething powder some find helpful. Abusol teething gel really helped my dd and obviously calpol.
I would keep a note of how much he's drinking, if he's having wet and dirty nappies. Contact your gp if you get worried about fluid intake.
