Which footmuff should I buy?

I have a Bugaboo Bee 5 and need to buy a footmuff for my 6-month-old DS, now the weather's getting colder. I was looking at these two options - does anyone have these and would you recommend?

This one looks so snuggly but it says that it fits "most buggies" - how do I know whether that include the Bee 5?

Then there's also this one, which sounds like it definitely will be compatible with the Bee:

Any advice welcome!

Wow they are expensive! Don't get the lambswool one if you want it to last - you might end up with a toddler that gets in and out the buggy with muddy shoes and it will get filthy. - you won't see the dirt on the black one so much.

First child had one which matched the pram which was OK but when I got a double buggy I bought a windproof, quick to wash and dry, fleece lined footmuff and it was amazing. It was reasonably thin so folded up really easily on the buggy. I loved it so much I bought another....

Maybe consider what you want for a baby will be different from a toddler.

We bought one of the universal fleecy ones for about £20 from JL. It's really easy to attach to different ones and washes very well too. Also, don't go for anything too snuggly, you probably dress your baby in warm clothes and they are more likely to feel too hot than too cold so you'll likely get more use out of it if you go for more of a medium warm one. She had it from about 6 months but can still use it now at 2 if she ever felt chilly (or actually used the pushchair rather than wanting to walk everywhere!)

Thanks @HappyDinosaur - that looks good.

I was all set on a sheepskin one, but hadn’t considered what @Mumdiva99 said about dirt!

I have this ClevaMama one and it's fantastic. It's lasted me through two children and still in great shape, easy to wash, very warm and soft. No idea if it will fit a Bugaboo as I don't have one, but I can't imagine it wouldn't.

We have a bee and used the one that @HappyDinosaur posted when DS was smaller (up to about 15 months). Then I found his legs got too long for it and we got a Kaiser one instead. It’s fantastic - really warm and cosy and you can tighten it round their heads like a little sleeping bag. Still fits him now he’s 2.5.

I didn’t want to get the bugaboo one as it’s expensive, and it’s also universal and seems to fit their bigger prams better. My friend has one on her bee and it drags on the ground.

PS the bottom of the kaiser one zips off which is good for toddlers in wellies!

Oh no - perhaps I should rule out the Bugaboo one then. You'd think they would make one to fit the Bee 5 properly!

We had the bugaboo one and it didnt drag on the ground. It fit perfectly. Only consideration was that it made the pushchair bulky to fold when it was on. We used it every day for two winters and it was perfect and very cosy.

Oh that’s good to know - maybe my friend’s one is an older version?

Thanks @sar302 - was that for the Bee 5?

I have the bugaboo one for our bee5. It's great. My only regret was I got the black one and I have a pug who sheds white fur all over it lol. I should have gone for the grey

Just checked and yes, it was released in March 2017 and that's the year we bought it new. It's still in perfect condition and we've put it aside now for my SIL. (DS is nearly 3 and barely using the buggy now, so we won't use it this winter.) Also, £100 seems a lot, but for two winter seasons, we used it every day for 5 months, so good value over all. Just check regularly for crumbs.....

I would say Kaiser it the actual Bugaboo one.

Look at buying 2nd hand?

We have a sheepskin one. Ds has napped in there so well with it. The top zips off so he has been using the bottom half as a liner until now. It’s gets so cold here that I want him to be warm all winter.

I’m not bothered about it getting dirty. If his shoes are filthy as a toddler I will just take shoes off most the time before going back in, and if dirty it can be washed still.

We had ones for our Donkey that had zips for muddy feet. Brilliant but I can't remember the brand.
