Carrycot recommendations

Hi, I'm going to stay in a hotel with my 4 month old and I would like to get a carrycot which I can carry baby in to restaurants etc and so It needs to be suitable for his naps. The Phil and Ted cocoon looks great but apparently only good up to 3 months. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I used to just use the carrycot part of our travel system, or depending how long car seat at that age

Would you not be better with a lay flat pram? I have a carry cot as part of my pram and LO is 16 weeks. I can’t imagine trying to carry him in it? Without the wheels I mean.

You'd be better off with a pram. I can't imagine the hotel letting you put a carrycot on the floor in a restaurant?

You shouldn't carry babies around in carrycots anyway, as they don't have straps inside.

Just wheel the pram into the restaurant? That is what we have always done.

What sort of pram have you got already?

Our travel system came with a carrycot (Cosatto Wow), which we use for baby to sleep in during days out / in restaurants etc.

We also have a carrycot from an older travel system, that we have on a stand in the house for day time naps.

I've never actually used either of them to carry baby though. Always used on either the stand or pram wheels.
