(4 Posts)Today I saw a mother, grandmother, and tot about 8 months old. The women were focussed on their phones and they had propped up an iPad in front of the baby. The baby was trying it's best to communicate and was completely ignored. Am I just old fashioned to think this is disgraceful?
Maybe they were trying to do something important on their phones and had to occupy the baby till they got done?
Or maybe they were just arseholes. Who knows? 🤷🏻♀️
It's not ideal clearly, but you have no idea what they are going through, how much sleep they've had, what problems they might be trying to solve online, or a million other things about them.
Try not being so judgy and focus on your own life?
What on earth did we do before screens? Well, for a start , important things would be sorted out by 'phone or mail before going out for a coffee. Then the baby would be kept happy by a toy, or even by one of the adults actually talking to it or interacting with it.
