Today is one of the worst days ever I tripped over one of my sons toys and fell holding the baby and she hit her head off the floor :( I feel awful I took her to a&e and all seems fine but now worried that they may involve social services I've never had any involvement from them

Honestly you won’t be contacted by them; it was an accident and a&e will see similar things all the time. I did something similar recently and the nurse at a&e said it’s worse for the parents than the baby as they beat themselves up about it for a long time. It happens but your baby is ok and you did the right thing in getting her checked

@user1493413286 I just feel so awful that it happened in the first place I hurt myself in the process trying to protect her from hitting the floor but I coukdnt stop it but I just told them that i didnt because i just wanted her to be checked and be okay

Don’t worry. You’ll probably make sure the toys out of the way in future so Safety first from now on. Hope you’re ok.

@My0My my son was actually playing with them at the time ..God knows how I managed to avoid falling on top of him...the worst thing is the floor is laminate not carpet so its quite hard I actually cried because I pretty much fell on top of her

It’s frightening when an accident happens. I guess the only advice is that if you need to go where the toys are, don’t go holding the baby or get the toys out of the way first. Hard - I know.
