Start using Mumsnet Premium6 month sleep regression
(7 Posts)Is there such a thing as 6 month sleep regression? Because all I can say is wtf. He's never been a good sleeper but we've only really just come out of the 4 month regression which lasted about 6 weeks if not more, and his longest stretch of 5-6hours ish from 7pm/8pm-1am had only just returned and its now back to waking every 2 hours and up by 5:30am...last night even worse he woke every hour!!!! I am barely getting any sleep, especially as he's a micro napper only 30 minutes at a time so can't even catch up on sleep in the day, nor will he take a dummy, only wants boob to go back to sleeo, any other method at soothing him he screams crying!
Wow I really could have wrote this myself! However last 2 nights fingers crossed we've only had 1 wake up for a feed at around 1 then up at 5:45/6ish, hes 5.5 months and hoping this is the start of turning a corner, his 4 month regression seemed to last forever then felt like we pretty much went straight into another 😂also a short napper xx
P. S his 4 month one started early xx
Isn't it just one thing after another?! He's teething badly too. Plus he was 3 weeks early so has always been clingy and also makes it hard to know which leap/regression he's in and when, arghhhhhh
I no the feeling well, I'm totally with you!! Our little boy is teething too we've just discovered Anbesol Liquid (not gel) and Aston and Parsons teething powder they are fabulous!! Xx
Yes I think teething is the main problem here too but he's on another medication for something else so can't have teething gels!! He can have those powders but I don't think they're helping much to be honest
Is he able to have Nurofen, my little boy has this occasionally when he's having a real bad time of it and seems to work a lot better than calpol x
