Hello parents and parents-to-be of Twins! Smile

Please bare with me here,
I’m "in line" for twins on both sides of my family, and I have a "gut feeling" that I will have them at some point.
My health coverage Will cover all hospital stays, and tests for pregnancy.

That being said: how much did you save up for Twins?

Note I also have some outfits made by my grandma if one (or both) is/are a girl, and toddler toys, barbies, a crib, changing table, high chair.
I realize that we will need A Lot more, of course.

Thank you in advance!

-Ashley

No one i know saved for twins - they were 'caught out' by twins lol and had to do the best they could! So any extra over what youd do for a singleton would be good im sure. Id start with a list of what you definitely need 2 of (car seats, high chair etc) and then terrify yourself by working out how much the childcare will be if you go back to work. Clothes etc. Is a relatively small cost 😁

But someone who has twins will be able to comment on what you should do.

I'm with @Happycow I have been 'caught out' by twins, they don't even run in my family. I currently have a grand total of £0.00 saved and it will continue that way because I can't work at the moment due to shielding and my contract means I'm not entitled to sick pay :( I hope I can go back to work really soon to start earning let alone saving!! I'm due in December, to say it's a worry is an understatement! I think the only saving grace is I may be entitled to the sure start maternity grant with it being a multiple birth. I have a 16 month old boy so if they are boys i have a good base of stuff luckily and didn't sell anything so still have rocker/walker etc although I have purchased the same rocker again while it was on offer. Although this will remain sealed incase something was to happen. Good luck! I really wish I was in the position to save for them x

I just don't think it's worth worrying about this. You have no idea whether you will have twins. Just save as you would generally for pregnancy. Buy stuff during the pregnancy as you typically would.

No one I know has any of the baby stuff before they even conceive, unless it's left over from their own previous pregnancies.
