Help! 6 month old won't stop blowing spit bubbles

My cheeky 6 month old DS has just learnt how to blow spit/raspberries the last few days and he's been doing it constantly! I'm getting spit facials all day but the problem is he's doing it while I try to feed him! He does it after every spoonful! this is a phase right? How long will this last?

Don’t react and it will pass quickly. He will learn to put the bowl on his head or throw food at you.

Developmentally it’s excellent. Tongue and lip control that he’ll need for eating and speaking.

Yup... Mine did it once all day full on raspberry. Tiring because i blew them back at her! It's just so cute.

Now she just does it frequently bit not all the time. She usually just blows bubbles down her chin making vvvvvvvv noises. Adorable! You ask her opinion on something and you might get a big raspberry though.

We have just come to the end of the all day raspberries. Lasted about three weeks!

Ours started 4 months ago and no sign of them stopping. LO is now 8 months.

Ahhh okay I guess it's normal! I managed to get his porridge into him at high speed using the bowl as a shield, it was like playing paint ball

He looks so huggable, and I bet he smells so lovely too. I miss have babies in my life. With luck I will eventually be blessed with more grandchildren.

Nope I bet he smells of vague vomit and nappy, like all babies do!

He's building up his muscles in his mouth ready for speech. It's a messy but necessary development stage.

Keep the bibs and muslins handy!

Haha thank you! He smells of drool mostly, he's not a very spotty baby thankfully unlike my first.
