(3 Posts)7 month old won't take bottle unless she is asleep. She drinks formula every 3 hours 3/4 oz. I have to rock her to sleep and she drinks it with no problem. Sometimes she will wake up while drinking and be fine and continue to drink while awake.
So why won't she drink before being rocked? :/ this has been going on for 7 months. I'm so tired. I have rare days where she takes the bottle without any problems.
I have waited 5 , 6 hours so she can take the bottle without me needing to rock her and she still won't.
I give her very little food / solid so she drinks her formula but no.
I'm so tired now. I dread every feed time.
Sounds bad but I'm hoping someone says they are in the same situation sorry
DS is EBF so I can’t offer a similar experience but might be able to help...
So she has milk every three hours but you have to wait until she is asleep to feed her?
Have you tried to offer different bottles, different flow rates etc? Have you tried a cup?
When she refuses a feed, what does she do to show you this?
What's her daytime sleep like?
