Is this normal?

Absolutely normal (BF anyway). Mine fed continuously some days. 11 hours on the boob was my record in a particularly bad day!
It isn’t like that forever, keep going.

Totally normal. 2 of mine would have been feeding every 1.5 hours or more at 8 weeks. My youngest only went every 3 hours when he was also eating solid food! He’s a very hungry child though.

Quite normal.

Very much so. My HV tried to tell me that I needed to start spacing feeds out to every three hours. I just laughed. DS is 9 months and is still fed every two hours (admittedly a mix of milk and solids)

Ff mine and yep very normal for us at least, sometimes even every hour. Fed little and often forever it seemed

Very very normal for both ff and bf babies. Feeding on demand is the best thing you can do for your baby, newborns don’t give a toss about routines!

Yes dd2 was 1-2 hours whether breast or bottle (combi fed) til at least 4 months old (she did manage a slightly longer stretch at night) dd1 was 1-3. Never got the 4 hours the textbooks say

Thanks all.

I was uncertain as when me and DH brought her home she was going 3-4 hours but this stopped being thr case two and a half weeks later. I was combination feeding as midwives at hospital said she was very hungry and needed filling up. I have had to switch to formula as I am now on medication for remitting relapsing MS and it is harmful to DD.

Before I switched to formula fully she was very unsettled. This has continued over the last few weeks and never goes without spitting up - sometimes she projectile vomits and coughs during and after feeds. She will also be unsettled crying for hours without anything working to comfort her. HV thought colic but I have a hunch it is reflux but the crying doesn't always happen and she doesn't appear to be losing weight.

Sounds like reflux to me. See if you can get a GP appointment over the phone. DS was diagnosed at 5 weeks with similar symptoms.
