If so, I would like to hear your experiences. I have an adult son living with me who has had depression for many years and been unemployed nearly all that time. The strain has been absolutely unbearable. I have finally found a support group for myself and OH, and son has found a counsellor he can talk to. He has been suicidal in the past. He has no friends, no social life and he and his sibling haven't spoken for two years since an argument. He lives with us along with his sibling who is at home until the Summer.
It is so hard. I don't really have any friends and am estranged from my own family mostly. The one friend I do have is in a similar situation, although she doesn't recognise her son also has depression .
How do you cope?
