Stand at the bottom of your steps and hold him head on your shoulder and just go up and down. It worked like magic for my two. Something about the stepping motion.
Also sitting him up hand supporting chin and just moving him round at the waist , crap description shall try find a vid...

Oh you’ll get there! Honestly. Always remember the reason they look so damn cute at this stage is that it’s bloody hard and otherwise we would just give up Smile you will be a pro in no time honest Flowers hope you manage to get a decent bit of rest

Oh also with the steps I just used to march up and down one step. Like at step at the gym. Don’t go climbing your stairs or you’ll be knackered Grin

Yup, supported sitting and then move top half side to side and round and round (my windy one is now 9 and his big sibling can still sing the special winding song we made up HmmGrin)

Try laying on their tummy across your arm for a few moments rubbing their back, then back on the shoulder again? Hope you get some rest at some point today!

Is she actually distressed? Some babies don’t really need winding. My DS2 didn’t.

A ninja move worked well with DS1, support their head with both hands And thumbs under their arm pits. Then lift them up high but move them across mid air before bringing them down again - DH also did ninja sound effects and a wiggled then when they landed. It sounds nuts but it was highly effective!

My now 13 week old DS struggled to bring wind up and at 2 and a half weeks became very unsettled. I spent a few weeks focused on trap wind and burping and colic and it turned out to be silent reflux. DS is now on medication and is getting better and finally starting to bring wind up a little better.

If your little one isn’t in distress then I wouldn’t worry too much but wanted to arm you with knowledge- I spent a lot of time focussed on the wind !

And congratulations !
