6 month old poo - green / Black - pic attached - pls help

Hi

Sorry for the topic / pic. My FF baby (6.5 months) has just done this in her nappy, it smells quite strong. She's been on solids the last few weeks - fruit / veg. Can't think of any food which would have turned her poo that colour. I've tried to call my GP surgery but it's closed for staff training till tomorrow. I'm starting to worry with looking online it ranges from not to worry (if she's BF but she's not) and to call a doc.

Is this normal due to the change of diet? She's not taking an iron supplement or anything like that. Still drinking a minimum of four 8 ounces of milk per day. She's teething at the moment and is a bit cranky but put that down to being tired as she's not sleeping / napping properly. Other than that she's not giving me painful cries. I'm starting to worry

Any help would be appreciated

I wouldn't be worried in a well baby.
What has she eaten yesterday and today?

Teething poos can be like that - lots of extra saliva in their tummies.

Has she had banana?

my lo had a nappy just like this after having a handful of blueberry's! if you can't get ahold of your doctor call your HV to put your mind at ease, if they think it's worrying they will speed up seeing the gp

That's a relief I've just never seen that before so was a shock! She's had banana yes, along with blueberries / pears throughout the week

It looks like her first poo she ever had which just sent alarm bells ringing

Banana can make it a bit stringy - that worried me the first time!

Only 8oz of milk in a day? Is that a typo because that is far too little.

@hormonesorDHbeingadick
op said four 8oz bottles a day

Thanks for clarifying. In my defence I have a 3 month old and I can’t even recall the last time I had a good nights sleep - maybe 4.5 years ago.
