the only other way of stopping him kicking off is to hold him

which surely must be just as bad for his back as being in a bouncy chair?

moses basket - even tipped up at the head end - doesn't cut the mustard - lyin anywhere near flat is obv really uncomfortable for him

last night i reckon i was max 30 mins sleep at a time [yawn]

cracked open the infacol today - the smell took me right back to ds1 bein newborn...

i wodged my second into a beanbag. She slept like an angel. I think it mimiced being held plus nice and warm with the beads holding the warmth. Supervised of course - might be worth a try?

Tutter - when I had DS1 I didn't know about the limiting time in car seats etc etc etc - and he spent all his "infant" stage either attached to my breast - or in the carseat on top of the pushchair.......he's turned out ok (and yes I know there's valid research behind it - and I didn't let DS2 sleep like that much, although DS3 does sometimes sleep in his bouncychair as he often settles better there )

we do have a bean bag - could be worth a try

would be verry tempting for ds1 to leap upon, so close supervision a necessity...

QoQ - mil here atm, clearly thinks i'm mad for not leaving him in there permanently - think she thinks our generation dreams up rules for newborns

i used to put it on the sofa and play on the floor with dd1. She seemed to forget about her mostly.

once they get wriggly they have mostly gorwn out of the wanting to be all squidged up stage.

Have you tried Colief from the chemist. Its quite expensive and difficult to use (ie. timing wise) but it definately works. Saved my life anyway!!
