Help! Things to do with a very mobile 14mth old when you're pregnant.

I have been off all week with my DS, and will be next week too. Physically it's killing me, and i'm getting grumpy with him aswell.

Any ideas?

Tried taking him to visit my Gran on Monday, not realising that her house is actually a death trap of ornaments and steps, so i had to chase him for 3 hrs.

Am lowering my food standards too- almost cried yesterday when all the nice cooked food i made him was gobbed out everywhere at each meal. Sandwiches and fruit for the rest of the week!

Please offer some pearls of wisdom!

You have my sympathies - I have a mobile 14th mo too, but he has a big brother who can sort of entertain himself (and LO!!)
Have you tried going to music class, tumble gym that sort of thing? My DS2 loves it

swimming - will wear him out and its lovely when you are pregnant. Or move into the local soft play center.

Or, do you have a paddling pool or playpen? If you fill it with balls you can have your own ballpit - again lots of amusement.

On really bad days, make the living room safe, pull all the sofa cushions off, and lie on the floor, creating a 'Mummy obstacle course'!

i'd love to take him swimming, but i think the logistics of getting him and me in the pool, and then dressed again afterwards might be too much. And it's 2 buses to the nearest pool

Ballpit might work though

He likes crafty stuff, but he's still at the stage of eating crayons more than scribbling. Maybe some paint if he's in his highchair and covered with a waterproof bib...or is that asking for trouble?

do u have a patio? let him loose on there with some chalks. Babies don't like the taste of chalk.
