I know babies under 1 are supposed to steer clear of salt but in alot of recipes ive seen it says to use tuna which has quite alot of salt? Does anyone know how much they are actually allowed??
TIA

Have a look at this how much salt?

I used to worry about this when dd was tiny but decided that the benefits of eating tuna probably outweighed the drawbacks. I use tuna which is packed in oil or water.

Thankyou, I didnt think to look on there! So they are supposed to have no more than 1g a day, well there is 0.7g in the small tin of tuna in water which doesnt leave much but then he wont eat even probably half a tin so hopefully ok. Its just so difficult to try and calculate it!
