but why on earth would you do that????????

It can't be that bad if it washes out in 3 washes.

Couldn't give a stuff about if you are a troll or not (or even the topic of this thread) but please change your name.

dyeing to talk about colour. Your current name is not nice.

tut tut

I wouldn't do it (worried about the product on young children's skin/eues), but I always said I wouldn't paint the toenails of a young girl and now it doesn't seem such a bad idea

Ahead of your times, perhaps?

My five year old boy has been nagging me to get a tatoo, he wants to be like a real pirate. I am telling him tatoos are not for children.

Why will a 4 year old want to have a different hair colour?

DS (4) has been asking for a espresso for ages, should I give him one?

Personally i would no dye my daughters hair. i like the fact that it is so natural at the moment, not runied by chemicals and styling etc. she has the teenage years to do that.

my friends did use a coloured gell on their sons hair but i would never use a wash out one.

Isabel - only when he's been nagging for well over a year!

Agree that the namechange is unpleasant.

And not to mention wine. My five year old has wanted wine each time I pour a glass (not that ofte to be honest) I give him blackcurrant juice, but should I give him wine just because he asks?

He also wants to ride my husbands motorbike, should I let him?

sorry have corrected my name change,

You did it because she asked?

There are some things that they ask to which the answer is, and has to be, "no".

For me, this is one of those things.

Why did you tell us? What do you want us to say?

I don't really want my kids to care what they look like. I want them to run round, playing games and getting messy.

Time enough to think about what you look like as a teenager.

Because they see you do it. My dd is desperate for lipstick and I sometimes put a little dab of lipgloss on her. I have wrestled a mascara wand out of her hand more than once. She is 3. I wouldn't dye her hair. But she would certainly ask if she saw me do it.

i dont know really. i know there are some parents out there who do do this. just wondered if anyone on here does really.

You are mad to post if you are genuine! You know this will bring out the pitchforks!
It doesn't seem a big deal to me.

i dont want her to grow up. she is a child, she just wanted her hair done. it going to wash out quickly. its not like a tattoo that is permanent. its not a permanemt dye, its like a shampoo that has a hint of colour in it.

Report
foxinsocks · 30/06/2007 14:50

did you test on her skin first?

just to warn others if they read this that you should test products like that on skin first (and I imagine children's skin is more sensitive than the average adult so even more important)
