i wont let my daughters get their ears pierced but i did just dye my 4 year olds hair

used a shader/toner thing that last 3 washes, so will be gone almost by nursery on monday.

she asked! she has been asking for ages. well over a year. have said no. she didnt like having it rinsed, so has said she wont do it again.

all done till teenage years i hope.

Personally i would no dye my daughters hair. i like the fact that it is so natural at the moment, not runied by chemicals and styling etc. she has the teenage years to do that.

my friends did use a coloured gell on their sons hair but i would never use a wash out one.

I don't really want my kids to care what they look like. I want them to run round, playing games and getting messy.

Time enough to think about what you look like as a teenager.

Because they see you do it. My dd is desperate for lipstick and I sometimes put a little dab of lipgloss on her. I have wrestled a mascara wand out of her hand more than once. She is 3. I wouldn't dye her hair. But she would certainly ask if she saw me do it.

i dont want her to grow up. she is a child, she just wanted her hair done. it going to wash out quickly. its not like a tattoo that is permanent. its not a permanemt dye, its like a shampoo that has a hint of colour in it.

did you test on her skin first?

just to warn others if they read this that you should test products like that on skin first (and I imagine children's skin is more sensitive than the average adult so even more important)
