My baby was sick after Cow and gate porridge

My son is 6 months today and is getting on well with weaning. I am happy with how he is getting on with all the fruit and veg purees we have tried. He is also fine with baby rice. He was showing all the signs of being ready for weaning and I am sure that he is ready. We started winning 2 weeks ago and no reaction to anything. I'm breastfeeding him also Cow and gate formula one bottle per day.
Anyway, the issue is that today first time I gave him cow and gate creamy porridge with pear and plums together but the fruit was tested and he was eating brfore. he was sick quite badly about 3 hours later. He was sick until only yellow bile was coming up and he threw up 3 times very badly.
What I want to know is, has anyone had similar with c&g creamy porridge? Does it sound like an allergy/intolerance? Only thing I'm wondering that I checked already the ingredients from Cow and gate formula and porridge it's almost same, boths contains milk.

I would be more inclined to think he has a bug rather than it being the porridge. Especially as he got to the point of throwing up bile. Keep a close eye and keep offering small amounts to drink.

Well I that case it is unlikely.
More likely a bug I should think

How much porridge? If it was too much it can make them properly sick and if you’re only a couple of weeks in a little bit might be too much. Lands heavier than veg.

It was 2 tablespoons mixed with water

Plus plums and pears puree mixed together, so i can say around 3.5 oz all together porridge and fruit

It’s very likely unrelated unless he showed other obvious signs of an allergic reaction. My first had a bad reaction (to pumpkin seeds) when she was about 7 months old (in a nut and seed butter, she wasn’t just eating whole pumpkin seeds by the handful!). It was very obvious. She did projectile vomit but she was also covered in hives and her whole face swelled up. It sounds coincidental really and probably just one out those things. I’d try it again in a few days.
