DD is going through an extremely picky eating phase. She's 22 months, so I think this may be fairly normal? However, it's now been going on a couple of months and I don't think a vegetable has crossed her lips!!!
She loves eating meat, bread, fruit and dairy, but won't eat anything else at all! Sometimes she has a tiny bit of rice or gnocchi, but usually not.
I've been trying to just keep serving variety and she's always given her what we eat (some modifications when she was tiny), and she used to eat a much greater variety, but now she won't eat vegetables at all.
If I just keep offering will she eventually start eating vegetables again? Is this just her exerting control over part of her life now she's old enough to want independence? Or am I heading towards toddler tyranny and living off fish fingers???
I don't really want to go down the "a hungry child will eventually eat anything" route. She's pretty stubborn and has gone to bed pretty hungry a couple of times, but still hasn't eaten any veg.
