Your day with a 1 year old

How do you fill your day with your 1 year old(he's more like a 10 month old)? I'm so rubbish at playing with him and he is so uninterested. I try to get out/go to groups etc most of the time. But when you're just at home what do you do??

Interested in this....

I usually put toys out with a bit of kids TV on.

Plenty of snacks to keep her amused

What about you ?

I make playdough type dough which is safe in case the odd bit goes in the mouth! Just olive oil, flour and a bit of water...

Bubbles..

Splash pool when the weather is nice, a small one will do.

Sensory toys in a basket.

Signing and acting out nursery rhymes - row row row your boat my girls loved!

playing and bashing pots and pans :)

a picnic...

see the ducks

walking practice...

I bought my twin girls the little tikes activity garden and that went down very well they loved it.

It's so hard to entertain him! He has no interest in kids tv, so many toys that I try and encourage him to play with, again no interest. He moans and whinges unless we are out

And also some of those things are impossible unless we go to a park, unfortunately no garden. We are in a top floor flat

Read books
Sing nursery rhymes
Build towers to knock over
Roll toy cars down a ramp

Look at wonder weeks to see what would help with current leap?

Is he mobile? If so, I'd be chasing him around on your knees. Sing songs. Play peek a boo. Roll a ball back and fro. Tickle him and blow raspberries. Tuck a blanket over you both. Keeping it simple is fine.

My DD is a lot happier when we’re out... I never get any housework done!

10 mo non mobile dd here. Try to be out as much as possible. When she's not watching me do jobs :

Playdoh in a zip lock bag stuck to high chair and something to bash it with was good for 5 mins.

Rolling around on the bed

Squeaky eggs

Read that's not my... books
