Hi I have bought the Phil and teds double fir a 21 month old and newborn I have the newborn caccoon thing so new baby can lie flat under the toddler. I was so happy with it then read a comment from a woman online who said it tips if the toddler gets out! Surely this can't be true I've emailed them and they initially said it can be used as a double or a single and then when I said is the newborn ok in it if the toddler decides to get out and they sent a standard reply but I now feel s bit nervous. Has anyone got this pram and can U reassure me? I've bought the sport version. Thanks

It can get slightly tippy when you've got it with a lighter child below and the larger child up top -but not really in newborn mode. It's more when you've got a large baby in the seat underneath and a toddler in the top seat getting in and out and it's not a massive issue. The cocoon part was a godsend with DD2 who had awful awful reflux - I inclined it ever so slightly and the darkness, coupled with the slightly hammocky motion meant it was the only place she'd sleep and stop screaming to be honest for the newborn phase. I spent a LOT of time walking down to the local Costa just to get her to stop screaming!

To be honest when I had a toddler at the "me walk"/"me don't walk" stage I had the bottom seat as theirs anyway cos otherwise you'd be constantly playing musical seats.
