Put your tongue in!

9mth old constantly has his tongue out.
It's never where it should be, it's always hanging out tasting the air.
It's been going on for months, keep thinking he'll grow out of it but it's still there flapping about.

Anyone know why/can relate?

Does he use a dummy? DS1 had the dummy and later developed this habit, causing even his teeth to slightly part away (imagine opening the curtains for a quick look).
I am sorry to say that what fixed it was a special brace with a tiny tiny ball on his palate to reeducate the tongue.

If he uses a dummy, ditch it now! And maybe go and see a dentist. They care for the mouth not only the teeth.

Nope, no dummy.

Talk to a GP or dentist.
