Formula and poo

We switched our 18 day old to formula 2 days ago...
How often should we expect her to poo? She hasn't had one today! Last one was late last night.

Our daughter was always combination fed but chose the bottle over the boob at around 3 weeks old. Her poos were very mustardy when combination fed and she pooed maybe once or twice a day. When she moved to formula for a while she did a poo no more than once a day and it was always sort of playdoughy, like a tiny horse poo - came out like paste then separated into nuggets*. I was worried she was constipated although she didn't seem uncomfortable and was feeding fine and producing lots of wet nappies. Health visitor advised switching to ready made formula from powdered which we did, and after about 3 weeks she started doing massive mustardy poos, usually once every 1-2 days. I know the received wisdom is that bf babies don't poo very much whereas formula fed babies poo all the time but that's not our experience.

*oh, the rarefied conversations I have now that I'm a mum grin

PS not unusual for daughter to go up to 3 days without a poo

Thank you!!
Same with our little one, she doesn't seem uncomfortable at all so I'm hoping she isn't constipated 👍🏼👍🏼

My son has been formula fed since birth and after day 5 started to only poo every 2-3 days and when he did it was very loose and even if we changed him within 2 mins of hearing him pass it would already be leaking up his back. Midwifes and HV all assured us this was normal etc but he was getting himself very upset and in pain. Eventually after advice on here we switched formula and within 2 days he began pooing with every feed. If the consistency is okay and baby isn’t in pain I’d say it’s perfectly normal smile
