When did you put your LO in sit up pram?

We've got a pram that converts from carrycot to seat mode, what age was your LO when you made the switch? DD is 4 and half months old but keeps trying to do sit ups to see out of the pram,

She can hold her head really well and has sat unsupported for about 20 seconds if she's in the mood too.

I know recommendations are 6 months but has anyone done it earlier?

I put my LO in pushchair from 4.5 months as he was doing exactly the same and he's never had any issues for doing it early

I'm going to give her a try tomorrow while I walk to my mums, i reckon she'll be fine - just wanted reassurance Smile

DD1 went into seat mode around a similar age!

Dd stayed in the lie down pram till she could climb out Blush.

Ds never went in it because he hated lying flat. I carried him in a sling and started using the pushchair occasionally from about 5 months.

I don't know why the app changed my username in the OP, I've never used that one!

Thanks everyone

I think around 5 months. There were three level settings on my pram plus the buckles giving more options. Maybe just lift a little bit and see how it goes.

Mine was 3 months - she's was getting fussy in the lie down carrycot - the minute she was sat up (well strapped in and supported) she loved it and has loved her pram ever since!

I've had it on the 2nd setting where it raises it a bit for about 2 months now.

Just another quick question save me starting another thread, if I use teething powders int be morning and evening like it states can I still use teething gel in between? I'm a FTM and worry unnecessarily Blush

Well before then as she is very tall and out grow the carry cot.

I had her flat mostly but I put her up slightly after feeds which was good for her reflux.

Oh really early. DS hated the bassinet - he wanted to sit up. Our pram can recline the seat quite far anyway so we just did that until he was better at supporting himself.

DS has just gone in the big boy seat of his pram, he's 5mos. We have it reclined almost all the way back though.

It's not a separate seat you sit the carrycot up and then use the buckles underneath to make a seat IYSWIM

It's this one

We sat my DD since about 4 months, the straps are padded and support her so she doesn't slump to either side. She loves to look at everything so really loves sitting up! In shops she gets annoyed if she's parent facing she loves being able to see that much.

Around 5 months, she always hated the carry cot and was much happier when she could have a look around.

At 4 months DD was sick of the carrycot, but wasn't quite looking stable in the proper seat. For about 3 weeks I just used the car seat attached to the system or popped her in the sling if it was a longer stint. Then from just before 5 months, when she could sit up unaided for minutes at a time, she was comfortable in the seat.

Both mine were at 4-5 months as they hated being flat.
