To go or not?

I've git a bit of a dilemma, it's s friends hen do on Saturday, not a best friend, more a work mate.

I have 2 dc, ds2 is 4 months and EBF. I've managed surprisingly easily to get him to take a bottle but I've not had the time to be able to pump and store enough for him for a whole day for me to be away.

I've not tried him on formula yet, I was hoping to express enough but have failed miserably.

I won't be too depressed if I don't go but I don't like letting people down and tbh could really do with a laugh and some me time as its been pretty tough lately.

I can't decide wether to go or not, leave DP with the bm I have stored and some formula if it's not enough. I will only be 15 mins away so I can come home if anything happens or goes wrong.

The other thing is DP hasn't been left to deal with both dc at bedtime alone before and I'm not sure how he will cope, but maybe I should just have more confidence in him?

Go! You are allowed to have fun as a mum, and the break will do you the world of good. Your dp with be fine with bedtime, he’s an adult I’m sure he’ll work it out Grin

Leave formula for a top up, but if you’re so close and don’t mind leaving for a few mins then pop back and give the baby a feed. Don’t be conned into coming back for a slightly difficult bedtime though, you deserve to let your hair down!

Go out and have fun. Let the bride-to-be know upfront that you might have to leave early (so you have an easy get-out clause if you want to leave, not because you'll actually have to). You can get home quickly if needed, so I can't see any issues really.

Yes definitely go.
Pump today and leave formula. It will be fine!

Thank you, I am going to go, I think I needed that extra push from you lot to make me feel like I don't have to be mum 24/7 and I can have some free time.x
