Help & advice with a 10 year old

We have a 10 year old girl who is showing somewhat unusual behaviour - she frequently makes the same mistakes and does not seem to learn from these, she becomes unresponsive when being told off for whatever reason, she shows no or little remorse when she has done something wrong, is extremely forgetful and we have tried different techniques and tactics to help with the situation but have so far not found anything that works. Wondered if anyone had or is in a similar position and could offer some advice?
