I am down with a terrible flu, high temperature, and very bad headaches, I have a quite demanding two and half year old. Any tips to keep her occupied?

Television. iPad. You can set up all sorts of toys and crafts for her but if you want any actual peace for more than five minutes, bring out the absorbing technology. A few days of Peppa Pig won't harm her.

Do you have a toy doctor set? I get at least 45 mins rest playing this with DD--because i trained DD to include a foot massage in her doctors checks--

Other than that duvet day with tv on is absolutely fine when you are poorly. Get well soon!

I assume you've got no one to help?

My DD of similar age loves sticker books. If you have one, sit her near to you with one, and hopefully it’ll keep her occupied for a long time! My DD sits for ages with them - thank goodness.

Colouring book and pencils, or a drawing pad and pencils.

Do you have a big cardboard box?

Sit them in it and let them draw on the inside

Disney Life. They do a one week free trial. Hope you feel better soon.

Big cardboard box and pens. Or some mixing bowls/sieve/spoons and dry pasta keeps DS occupied for ages. And TV

Don't feel guilty about screen time. When you're ill it's literally just a case of survival . It did make me chuckle though as I remembered a time when my adult kids were toddlers and I was really stuck-on-the-sofa ill, i accidentally ripped a bit of wallpaper, cant remember how, anyway, I basically let them spend the whole day ripping paper off and then drawing over the wall. My husband's face when he got home was a picture.
