Shaving legs

Hi, my 10yo dd has asked when she can shave her legs. What age do people think is about right? Personally I was older, but I'm blonde and she is a brunette.

I started shaving at about 11. I had really thick dark hairs so it was super noticeable. It's up to you, if you think they can be seen and she is self conscious about them then go ahead. My advice is not to let her do it if she doesn't need to and just wants to because other girls are doing it

Normal. I'm brunette and distinctly remember being self conscious of my hairy legs and underarms by that age.

If she has visible hairs, I would get her an electric shaver. Less risk of injury that way. But I was older too, although people mature at different ages.

Honestly I think there is zero point in waiting.

My mum wouldn't let me. So I stole a rusty pair of ancient tweezers from my grandma and literally tweezed every hair on my legs for about 4 years, all in secret. Ridiculous!

I was the only girl in my class not allowed to shave aged 12 and I was teased mercilessly for it and developed a huge complex, resulting in stealing razors and dry-shaving on secret. I'd let her.

(Proudly sporting fuzzy legs aged 30 btw!)

That is, if she actually wants to. Nothing wrong with hairy legs etc either.

Thanks guys, I honestly have no probs if she wants to, it's her body after all. Was thinking about getting her an electric razor if she's wanting to do it though, feel she'd be safer.
