Rusk in bottle

How do I add the rusk in the bottle ? Do I add the rusk in with the powder then add a little water and melt them then add more water ? Or do I just full the water all the way to the top then shake ? What's the ways some of you guys have done it :)

Why do you want to give solids like this? How old is your baby?

I haven't done it because it's a choking hazard to a baby. It makes the milk far too thick and heavy for them.

Has someone advised you to do this because they or you think your baby is hungry or it would help them sleep through the night? It's an old fashioned and dangerous practice. Babies under 6 months should not have anything other than milk (although in rare circumstances, a healthcare professional may advise weaning from 17 weeks old). A baby's stomach is not ready for solids before then, even if dissolved in a bottle.

To quote the rusk packet: "Your health Visitor or Doctor can advise you on infant feeding".

It's unlikely that they would advise you to add the rusk to baby's milk.

I got advised to put it into her milk by her doctor so that's why I am here asking the people who HAVE done this.

And she does have them as finger food but i got told to put them into her milk.

Can I ask why you want to do this? If it's for a bedtime feed then you can buy so called "goodnight" milks which are at least safe to put in a bottle.

Give a rusk covered in warm milk in a bowl and feed with a spoon like you would with a Weetabix.
I don't think rusk in a bottle is advisable anymore due to choking hazard but I do believe it was given to me in the early 70's.

If a doctor is advising this then I would go back to them and ask them how to safely prepare and feed it. Are you in the UK, just wondering whether you're getting different advice from what is the norm here?

You dont put the rusk in the bottle. You put the milk on the rusk in a bowl and feed with a spoon.
