Do you bath your children together?

Just wondering what other people do as I bath my nearly 3 year old and 6 year old together as feel it saves some time. I don't think I'll be able to get away with it much longer as my eldest gets bigger! Does this work for you or is separate baths better?

Mine bathed together until the eldest decided he wanted to have showers. That would be about a year ago. They're 9 and 7 now. DC2 still has baths, just alone now.

Yes my five little ones share three and two to a bath. They would be sad to bath separately. Oldest is 6 youngest is 2.

Yup, 7, 5 and 3. DD is 7 so I presume that the desire for privacy will trump the fun of playing with her brothers soon enough.

We put dd (5) in the bath first, she gets 10 mins, then ds (2) goes in with her for about 10 mins as he doesnt much enjoy baths. He then gets out, I wash dds hair, then she gets out. Dd would be in the bath 1 hour if I let her.

Oldest (10) has a shower but DS (6) and DD (4) still share a bath.

Ds 5 and dd 2 share but only have a bath a couple of times a week. Otherwise just a good wipe wash.

4 year old boy and 2 year old girl bath together in my house.

No. I stopped when they were toddlers. Too much splashing and I went all germ phobic after they had a bad run of illness and I had problems at work. Decided separate showers might minimise germ sharing.

Andnowitsseven 5 children between 6 and 2 Shock do you have red bull and wine for breakfast!!

I put 3 month old in the bath first, then 18 month old gets in for 5 mins before the baby gets out and he gets a top up with bubbles.

We are pretty much identical to NapQueen. 5 year old in for a bit. 2 year old joins for a wash and splash and out then 5 year old would stay until wrinkly!

Yes my 6 & 2.5 year old mostly bath together.
6 year old occasionally objects & has the first super quick bath instead and reads to me while Dd2 gets cleaned.

Not after the age of about 5.

Yes, until they stopped wanting to. Eldest aged about 7ish IIRC

Yep I can squeeze my 3 bigger ones in together if I want to make sure the biggest has a good wash. They're 8 5 and 2. Usually I do the 5 and 2 year olds together and the 8 year old has a shower. Dc4 is 4 weeks and once he can sit up he'll go in with the girls.

Yep. 5 year old boy and 18 month girl. Oldest stays in for a bit after the baby gets out. However tonight is the first time she went to grab his willy so this might all change soon.

Every so often mine ask if they can all go in together! They're 7, almost 6, 4 & almost 2, they love it. Generally the almost 2 yo comes in with me, has a bath with the almost 6yo or gets done when they're all at school & the 4 & 7yo go in together as they like being mermaids.

I have started bathing mine together (I found it easier to do them separately before). They're 4 and almost 2. Dd asked the other day why ds's genitals were different to hers and I explained that boys have a penis and testicles and girls have a vulva. She just said "oh" and went back to playing. When one of them starts to become self conscious, I'll bath them separately again.

DS (8) and DD (6, nearly 7) always bath together and I can't see it stopping any time soon.

They take their Lego in with them and would stay in there playing for hours given the chance!

5&7, boy and girl. They love bathing together! I don't always let them though for my sanity.

Mine do. Boy, 6 and girl, 4. They take their goggles in and do a bit of swimming! Bathed every other day.

My DDs always went in together until a few months ago, when DD1 decided that she wanted privacy- she is 8 and DD2 is 5. I think it's fine so long as they're happy.

I tried recently with 9 month old DD and 2.5 years DS but he decided he didn't want to share his bath and dunked her under Shock separate baths from now on!
