should I let my 15year old daughter stay at her boyfriends house

Hmmm...difficult one. I wasn't allowed to. I would let her go if they have separate bedrooms, otherwise no.

what bad thing happens if you don't?

Dd had a boyfriend who lived about 1hr30mins away from 14-15. Initially they had 'day visits' and as we parents were doing the ferrying, we all met each other. After 6 months or so it upped to weekends with both sets of parents comfortable with no sharing beds/bedrooms.

TBH our take on it was that if they really wanted to get up to anything, they wouldn't wait for bedtime plus it meant they could use trains so saving us all a lot of trekking back and forth.

Underage no.
When she hits 16 yes.
Or she will always expect to be able to bend the 'rules' and you won't be able to disagree!!

Oh and bf was same age smile

My eldest is 15 soon and absolutely no way would I let her stay over at a boyfriends house.
As a pp said, at 16 she would be 'legal' so she could stay over then if you allowed.
Is she open enough to talk to you about sex, specifically practising safe sex?

Are they practicing safe sex? Although sex can happen anytime anyplace.
How much of a setback would pregnancy be?

And not when she is 16 either unless she is on forget-proof contraception.

Instinct says no - unless you are going to drip feed more information (as there might be circumstances where I'd say yes).

I did. They got together when DD was 14 and he was 15. Met him several times (and his parents) and agreed DD could stay over and he's allowed here- the rule is the door stays open even now at 16 nearly 17.

I was disappointed when DD came to me to say they had sex when she was 15 as I've always tried to encourage her to wait- but in a way I'm glad she did so a) we could sort birth control and b) I would rather they do it here/his house then in a park like I did when I was 15.
