When are the officially toddlers?

Not important at all but when does my baby become a toddler? Is it when she takes her first steps? When she is one?

Obviously she will always be my baby even when she gets her first wrinkle.

I think 1-3 is generally toddler age then 3-5 is pre school

Thanks. Most children in our area go to educational nursery at 3 and school at 4.

I love that my daughter is learning so much but I don't want to lose my baby.

Personally I always considered my children officially toddlers once they were "toddling"/walking, which was around 13/14 months for them.

Don't consider it losing your baby, but watching your child become more engaged with the world and curious to explore. It is such a wonderful hectic, mad, exhausting time, don't be sad to enter it!
