my ds who is 7(year 2) has been best friends with the some boy since reception. I know the other boy's family and we've been round to each other houses for play dates too. I like his mum and have no troubles.

my son has recently started asking me to organize a sleepover for the two of them but i don't know if i should, since i think he's rather young but at the same time I don't want to be a fun killer. i have the impression that the other mum who I am friends with is up for it. i don't mind where the sleepover is held, ours or theirs so that;s not the question. my worry is the age.

any advice is welcome :) TIA

It seemed to get more normal in yr3 at my child's school.

If both boys are asking for a sleepover and you're ok with it then why does the age bother you?
Has your ds stayed at grandparents or done a sleepover with beavers or will this be his first time?
The first time will be a bit of a worry all round but keep your phone on if your ds goes to his friend or be prepared for a late night early morning if the boys stay at yours!
Let them have fun and don't be so hung up on their age!

Our school did a sleepover at the end of year 2 and since then dd has done 3 sleepovers at friends (1 in year 2 2 in year 3)

My ds age 7 has slept over at a friends a couple of times, he wasn't up particularly late (around 10.30) but was shattered and moody for a couple days after. He loved it at the time though
