How to switch from formula to cows milk?

My son is one year old. What is the best method for introducing cows milk? Should I do this gradually, or is it ok to switch overnight, so to speak?

Either is fine. Sometimes they are not keen on the taste to begin with. My DS had formulas so I did half and half to start with

My DS is just coming up to a year old. He has three bottles a day and for the past week I've switched his middle feed to cows milk. I heat it to room temp (always had warm milk before) and he takes it straight down.

He was mixed fed up to 9m old which might make it easier to accept? Either way, it's been easier than I expected and I'd have switched him over fully except we've got two cartons of Aptamil left!

I literally just switched one day. DS didn't seem to notice!

Thank you. I decided just to go for it. DS was also mixed fed, so maybe this has helped.

Either way, he seems to be enjoying it and we have yet to have any problems.

With DS, I changed overnight - not one murmur from him. With DD I ended up changing it oz by oz (so doing 6 oz formula, 1 of cows milk mixed for a couple of nights, then 5/2...) fussy little minx. She will not take milk at night though for love nor money, but will fizzle two beakers at breakfast.

I would do it gradually as i just swapped with DD and she was fine initially but got very constipated.
GP advised to switch mixing formula and cows milk by replacing 1 fl Oz at a time which worked out much better.
