Child Benefit

I am a but confused about child benefit. I have a son and I applied for child benefit even though I don't get anything as income over the threshold. I was advised i should do this as it would ensure my stamps were paid for the state pension (if it exists by the time I retire!). I have since had another child - do I need to apply for her also even though I still won't be eligible for any actual benefit?

I think so... because it'll cover you for the youngest reaching 18.

You only get ni credits until your youngest turns 13 so yes you should apply for baby but decline to receive payments.
