....to get a stroller?

I have a travel system for my DS (9 Months), and am contemplating getting a stroller pushchair as well. DH thinks it is a waste, but I am the one who lugs the pushchair in and out of the car every time we go anywhere (DH is disabled). What do people think...is a stroller useful??

We have a bugaboo cameleon which is a pain to fold away and takes up the whole boot (but great for walks).
We also have a umbrella fold stroller which we bought for travelling and now lives in the car boot and gets used at the shopping centre.
It's very useful

Yup, we have a quinny buzz for the car, not exactly a small stroller but much smaller than the wayfarer. We got the buzz second hand which made dh twitch less.

We've got a maclaren quest which we got after buying a travel system. It's much easier for the car and would definitely recommend. Once my daughter was a year or so old she just wanted to be facing outwards and seeing the world.

I thought that having a stroller for quick trips and keeping the travel system for day trips was fairly standard, this is what all of my friends and I did. It makes life so much easier. It is also handy to have something that can fold down if you out in a cafe and space it tight.

Baby jogger city mini has completely replaced mu bugaboo. So much easier. My baby is ten months old.

Yep, we also had a stroller for the car. It was primarily for the school run as we had to drive, park then walk and DS3 was only 6w old when DS1 started school. Our Phil & Teds was too cumbersome to get in and out of the car all the time and I preferred to keep it in the house as we would usually go out straight from. Now DS3 is 3 we just use the stroller. Cost me £100 3 years ago, worth every penny.

I'd second the Baby Jogger City Mini. We got it when DS was 1 1/2. Brilliant stroller and so light x

Definitely get one. Most people don't keep using those giant baby pushchairs forever. I used both actually. I had a big from-birth one which I used sometimes and a lightweight, small folding one which I used in different situations. It just depended what was happening, the weather, what else needed to go in the car etc.

Definitely worth it IMO.

I ended up with 4 buggies.... A bugaboo single, a mclaren single, then and out n about double nipper AND a double Mclaren!

Used all on different situations - bought the double stroller on ebay then resold it for more than I paid!

Personally I hated using an umbrella stroller after the ease of pushing a bugaboo so would recommend a baby jogger city mini or even a secondhand bugaboo bee.

We bought a stroller for DD1 the first time we went on a plane as you can take them right up to the door. Used it for a good couple of years after she'd outgrown her travel system so defo worth the money!
