I have no clue what to get for her first birthday. It's in 1 month.

Any suggestions?

Some kind of ride-on usually goes down well at that age as they like to cruise or walk (or run, or bottom shuffle) holding onto stuff for balance. Scuttlebug or Wheelybug or similar.

Books, clothes, stacking boxes. A few little bits and pieces she needs/will play with. Musical noahs ark animal noise toy is a big fave with my one year old.
Doesn't need a big present, she won't know any difference.

I bought our DD a wooden rocking horse (from Pinolino) but she's only really gotten into it now at 18mo. I think it's nice to get something that will last though that they can play with for a few years.

Bumpertobumper how weird that I've just ordered the Noah's ark thing the other day for her for Xmas! Looks like that can be one of her bday pressies. Thanks

DS2 turns one in just over a month too
We've got him -
A bead maze
A xylophone
A cog turner type thing
A tambourine
A light up glittery ball
Couple of rubber animals
^ All from Wilkos
Shape sorter
Couple of little £1 cars from Tesco (he loves to brum)
Some 'that's not my' books (he will only read feely books and these are a favourite)
And we're thinking of getting him a scuttlebug, haven't decided yet

When our twins turned one we got them Mega Blocks, books, Skip Hop bath towels (which are still being used 3 years later so a fab buy), Jelly Cat bunny.

They turned 4 today ☺

She will get so many presents from other people. We thought long and hard about it, but in the end bought nothing! Loads of stuff from others which she wasn't able to to appreciate fully. X

My son is one in a month too!

We have got him an activity table, a toot toot set and some crayons. It's hard being so close to Christmas. I've just asked for books and clothes in sizes 12-18/1-2y from family.

We knew everyone else would buy toys, clothes, etc so we bought DD a gold charm bracelet and have added a charm most years since. She is now 13 and loves the stories behind the charms.
DS was a LOT harder to buy for - we got him a silver birthday candle holder in the shape of a train which comes out every year to go on his cake (need to pack it to take to Iceland this year so glad it's small grin)

My DDs bday is a week before Xmas!

I've got her a bunny already and was thinking some mega blocks - what age do kids start with crayons?

If she's getting lots of gifts from others why don't you make your gift a savings account and put however much you would have spent on a toy in there. Realistically she's too young to really appreciate presents.
