Pre teen face washing

What do your dcs use to wash their face? Ds1 is 9 and dd is 7. They've always just used warm water and a wet flannel, but am conscious they actually need something to clean their face now they're a bit older.

They've both suffered with mild eczema since birth, so any change and they get dry patches. Just wondering what others use? Soap has been too drying, even the pure mildest non soap stuff. TIA.

Mine are the same age as yours and just use water. DS has just started to use deodorant though so I expect he will need some sort of face wash before too long Sad.

Dermalogica special cleansing gel is great. It comes in a large pump bottle and if you shop around, you can get a 500ml bottle for about £30. My DSD had horrendous skin when she was about 12 and this really helped. Not cheap, but excellent stuff.

I got my 9yo DS some Boots own brand face wash with tea tree oil which cleared up his (minor) pimples. He just uses his hands to apply and rinse it off.

Mine are 6&8, just water here, I can't see any need for anything else, but if there was, I'd probably go for dove soap....
