Potty training advice

Hello all,

I'm starting potty training my LO who will be 3 in October.

For the last week he's been naked from the waist down before/after nursery and has been doing pretty welland now I've got four days at home to try to work on it.

He's in pants, lots of wees on the potty so far (and one on the garage floor...).

What I'm not certain about is should I be insisting he 'tries' every 10/15/20 minutes or should I just keep reminding him if he needs to go the potty is there....?

I think that when he's back at nursery on Tuesday they'll take him every 15 minutes so not sure if I should be emulating that at home. I think I would be a bit annoyed if someone was making me sit on the toilet at regular time intervals if I didn't need to go!

We are currently in the process of potty training my grandson, who will be 3 at the end of September
Wearing pants and t shirt only for the last few days
We have not asked him re going on potty but are waiting for him to lead and say he wants to go rather than have the every 15 mins pressure to perform
All going well at the moment with no mishaps
He is very verbal and fully understands but we have not yet taken him out in just pants and no nappy- just in case
Have however, put pants on over a nappy so that he has the general idea and he has been fine
