sick of being a parent

just bored to death with all the drudgery. Been at it for 22 years now and really just don't want to do it any more. I love my children, but I am starting to think that eating pizza everyday would be okay? I mean its only bread, cheese and tomato paste isn't it? Sick of folding endless baskets of washing, sick sick sick of it all.

How can I give myself a kick up the arse?

22 years? Surely they should be helping out a lot -- you shouldn't be the only one cooking dinner or folding clothes if your children are more than about 10 years old!

How old are your children?

Thanks for replying. Children do their bit: dishwasher rota, clean their rooms, bit of laundry. But its just the relentlessness of if all it just never stops! I am working from home at the moment, so just surrounded by it all day - think thats getting my down. I don't mind cleaning or cooking really. But shopping and laundry can do one!
