Crib advice!!!

I'm having a mare at the moment, I do not know what to do for the best.
My first baby is 4 months now and sleeps in a crib next to our bed. But lately he's been moving so much his feet and arms are going between the bars so I have started to put him in a grobag. Yet he still manages to move around and he keeps banging his head which then wakes him up. He looks so uncomfortable all the time. I've been considering a cot bumper but I know what a big NO NO they are. Any advice?

I have breathable ones. They are approved by the lullaby trust. Google safe dreams cot bumper.

Airmesh bumpers worked for us. They stopped so many dummies going down the back too Smile

How much longer is he likely to be in the crib/in your room? Is it worth getting something second-hand like a Chicco Next To Me, that's fabric-coveres with no bars?

We have the Airmesh on my older son's cot bed and it's great.

Could it be that he's just too big for it? Could you move him into a cot?
