My toddler sings ALL day...

That low level, constant singing that is essentially torture when she does it for hours at a time. Sometimes it's actual songs, sometimes it's just lalalala but it's virtually always happening unless the tv is on.

It's actually driving me spare. Pleads of 'please stop singing' mean nothing and it's essentially either talking or singing at this point.

How do I stop it??

You'll miss it when it stops. Smile

Does she sing even when concentrating on an activity? If not, you may be able to distract her for short periods of time and build up the silence.

Otherwise, you may just have to treat it as you would tinnitus - put the radio on, bounce around to pop songs and pray it will pass.

My 3 year old does too. It's mostly lovely, but I t does get wearing. I've been playing a lot of music I like in the hope she picks some of that up

If it were her randomly breaking into song every so often I would. As it stands it's essentially like constantly white noise, mainly because she only has about five songs in her album. The only thing that breaks it up is the occasional shouty part that tends to coincide with adults trying to have a discussion or me paying attention to her sister I know this is an attention thing

She does tend to stop when she's concentrating on a jigsaw or similar but if it's something that doesn't require a lot of focus she bursts into song. Again.

Bose noise cancelling headphones? (Helpful)

I'd go with the suggestion of the radio and at least try to drown her out with something more palatable. My DD sings about 50% of the time so I know what you mean, it can grate. Listening to it all day would drive me bonkers. When DD is asleep and/or I'm in the house alone I actually really enjoy total silence now, I used to hate it and always have the TV on in the background. Advice of 'you'll miss it'... well that is as helpful as being told 'it's over so quickly, enjoy every moment' of your newborn when you are struggling with colic and feeding issues. No, I definitely don't miss it and much prefer life now she's bigger. I'm very thankful it didn't last very long (although it felt like forever) as I'm not sure I would have kept my sanity intact.
