For your baby what age did you start doing g this? My friend does her daughters once a week and she's 11 months.

More or less as soon as he had any I think. Twice a day.

Twice a day, as soon as they appeared.

Why wouldn't you clean them?

Twice a day from when they had any teeth to brush!

Same with the dentist - annual check ups should start once there are some teeth to be looked at (get them used to going, sitting in the chair etc),

We started doing it twice a day as soon as she cut her first. We used one of those silicone fingertip brushes initially until she started to find it funny to bite us then moved on to a proper baby's toothbrush once she had around 4 teeth.

Pretty much when they cut their first teeth. Don't know how much bushing actually goes on though as we have a lot of screaming and resistance...

Twice a day since teeth were there, so about nine months? It's as much for getting her into the habit than the actual cleaning IMO. We waited longer with DD1 I can't even remember why now and she's far more reluctant to do it than DD2.

We have these which are a good way to build up the different sensations of brushing.

Once a day with 1st tooth as EBF, using a finger brush.

HV advised to use a proper brush from when she started eating food, night and morning.

Twice a day from when the first tiny piece of tooth started to appear. So probably from 7/8 months.

I gave them a toothbrush to chew when teething so before they got teeth.
DC4 only had one tooth until he was nearly 18 months. I used to rub a bit of toothpaste on his gums as I was paranoid they'd come through damaged.

As the owner of nneglected teeth that have caused me sever pain and aggravation over the years I decided I needed a dentists advice.

He said to start letting them put a soft brush in their mouths, with me holding the handle of course, and rub baby tooth paste on the gums before they started teething.

Hit post too soon, actual brushing was twice a day from when I could feel the tooth under the skin. It was fun checking that hmm they're like bloody razors when they first break through.

As soon as she got them, although I cleaned them with finger and toothpaste as she wouldn't accept brushfor about 2 weeks, I only do it once a.day as that's what I read on google, I will probably do it twice as when she'll have a few more. She is 8 mo and sometimes I still can't brush properly the top one ( only one there so far). I don't brush them when she's teething and in pain . will double check if I should do it twice a day with the dentist on Wednesday, the main reason I didnt do it yet is also that I don't like the fact that she swallows the paste, even if ia a tiny bit still makes a bit of bible, I try to rinse with my clean wet fingers but is always too late lol ..

As soon as they erupted.
